Discussions continue between GCSA and GCDHA representatives to unify the breed. In an attempt to provide the best service for all members, honor and safeguard the integrity of the breed, time is needed for negotiations. Please be patient with us during this historic time as we continue with business as usual. Historical EventOn March 20, 2008, representatives from the Gypsy Cob Society of America and the Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association, held a meeting to discuss the responsibility of providing much needed unity within the breed sector. Many enthusiasts have long expressed hope for a merge and it will be placed in the hands of each registry’s membership. We hope members will agree and will vote for unity!
EventsAnnual Meeting The GCSA Annual Meeting was held April 12, 2008 in Fort Worth and we all had a fun time getting business done. All changes on the 2008 ballot passed. See the new work order for fee increases. A work order must be included with all registry transactions. Big Event September 19-21st, 2008 Oklahoma State Fair Draft & Gypsy Horse Show Oklahoma City, Oklahoma State Fair Park Next Event June 1st, 2008 Saratoga Driving Associations Clinic Ballston Spa, NY Shadowhawke Gypsies Farm, 71 Lasher Road Jeff Morse a nationally known competitor, clinician and trainer with over 30 years experience, specializing in training horses and their people for carriage driving will be conducting this clinic. Jeff works with all levels of drivers to make driving a safe and enjoyable experience. The clinic is $55 for a 50 minute lesson for SDA members $65 for non-members.
